4 Tips for Animals and Easter

1. Something every animal owner should already know but it doesn't hurt to post a reminder make sure to keep all chocolate away from your animals (dogs and cats as well as ferrets).

2. Those beautiful lily bouquets are toxic to animals as well. Ask friends and family to bring you something other then Lilies or make sure to keep them somewhere that you pets cannot get to them.

3. That plastic grass stuff used on the bottom of baskets is apparently a fun toy to cats but they chew on it and can swallow it which isn't fun causing obstructions. Be sure to clean up all the plastic grass and dispose of it properly.

4. Baby chicks and family cats don't mix. If you raise chickens be sure to keep your cats away from them. If you are considering buying a little chick for your children to watch grow for a few weeks and then get rid of. Marshmallow or Chocolate chicks are a better option. Another option is a special stuffed animal that will last for a much longer time.
