Bald Eagles Hatching Live on Webcam

Live Streaming by Ustream.TV

Watch live as the babies hatch and begin to feed. One baby was born and there are still two more eggs that are going to hatch any time now. Viewers will be able to see tiny cracks lacing through the eggs before they hatch. The zoomed-in view gets so close, you can count the scales on the eagles’ feet.

It seems that they can sense or feel as the baby is going to hatch so they get restless and move the eggs around quite a bit and allow you to see the egg as the chick begins to break through. The parents seem extra concerned about keeping the egg that is hatching as warm as possible.

The mother eagle laid the eggs on Feb. 23, Feb. 26 and March 2. All three were caught on camera and are up on YouTube if you want to find them.

The first chick finally broke free of its shell early this morning. This is a video of its hatching.
