I have known the owner of LaBone Yard for about 4 years now through our dog forum where we are both moderators. I know the quality of work she produces is really top of the line. I have been on the receiving end of several of her Free Standing Lace Ornaments they are perfect to hang on your Christmas Tree or on a special place around the house. She makes some really cute designs if you don't see what you are looking for all you need to do is ask and mot likely she will be able to fill you special request. LaBone Yard began as a doggy boutique but has reinvented itself over time to be much more focused on embroidery though I have to say she has some great dog things you can see some pictures of her happy customers. She recently started making martingale style dog harnesses after a scare they had with one of their dogs getting loose from his harness when he became frightened.
I love so many of her embroidered pieces she has made for people on our forum that it is hard to just choose a few pictures to share with you.
She made this fabulous piece for a friend of hers birthday. The design is just over 5 inches high and 11.5 inches or so long over 80,000 stitches with 54 colour changes. It is stitched onto a background that looks like waves in the ocean.
She puts her embroidery work on totes like this one she created for a friend of ours who loves Gothic fairies. Personally I am more of a Tinkerbell Fairy fan but I really liked this design when I saw this picture posted on our forum so asked if I could share it with all of you.
I love the fact that she puts the special touch of finding a fabric for the background that matches the theme of the cards embroidered design. The card that she sent us in order to do our review reminds me so much of Indiana and Davinia's Breeder's flower and herb garden where the dogs play. I almost expect to see a little nose pocking through the fence to say hello. The cards each come with an envelope individually wrapped in a plastic sheet. The inside of these cards are blank so you can use them for all sorts of occasions ( Valentines Day, Anniversary, kids birthday, Father' Day, Mother's Day, Holiday Greetings). When we were working together to come up with what the giveaway was going to be we wanted it to appeal to the broadest audience possible and be asily shippable to anywhere in the world as she wanted to make a point of making sure this was an International Giveaway.
