Sadie is a Red Australian Cattle Dog cross whose nickname is Baby Girl.
Her mom has terminal cancer and can no longer care for her. So she came to rescue to look for a new home. She was her mom's loyal companion for 8 years and best friend never leaving her side even when she was so so ill. She guarded her from strangers, acted as a burglar alarm, and spent lots of hours just being a good listener. Her owner is devastated at having to leave her and desperate to know she has a good home.
Sadie weighs about 45 lbs. is healthy, spayed, up to date on shorts, on heartworm preventative and and has no known health problems. Given her ACD anchestor she could easily live another 8 to 10 years. All Sadie wants is a warm place to sleep, food, some good belly rubs, and ear massages.
She is loyal, obedient, house-trained and likes her crate. She walks well on the leash, rides in the car, likes long walks, and lazy afternoons in the sun or shade. She has no bad habits but prefers to be an only dog. She's easy to be with and will play ball or chase her toys or just hang with you and watch TV. She's the perfect companion for a senior. She yodels when you come home and she sees you. Sadie is fostered in northern California near Sacramento looking for an forever home.
