(CCTV)Twin Bengal Tiger cubs were born at the Tianshan Safari Park in northwest China‘s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to 8 year old tigers. Only the mother Tiger has not been able to produce enough milk to care for the babies so a surrogate had to be found quickly. The only animal they could come up with on short notice was a dog who had recently had a litter of puppies. The dog mother has become fond of the twin tigers cubs who seem to be nursing alongside her own puppy. According to the safari park staff, one of the twin tigers is of normal color, while the other is all in white.
The parents of the twin tigers were introduced to Xinjiang from Shanghai in 2007 and the twin babies are their second birth. The cubs are now growing healthy and are expected to meet visitors by June 1. These two cubs made 12 tigers born in the park since January bringing the total number of tiger to 40 in the Safari Park.
