This is a really fun review and giveaway that I get to tell you all about. I met Dawn an Arbonne Consultant about 7 months ago now through a Direct Sales Community. I told her I had heard of her products but had never tried them and was interested in doing so. She sent me some samples to try out and they arrive about a week before Davinia was attacked. Why am I telling you that there is a point. After Davinia was attacked I couldn't sleep so a few days later when my mom was finally able to get a flight to Miami I should have looked horrible I needed reminders to eat and someone making sure I was and the only reason why I got dressed was to walk Indiana and so I could go tot he Hospital. Only I didn't look like a zombie -- my face looked clean and refreshed, I didn't have bags under my eyes in fact they looked better then normal. My mom was so impressed with the products that she bought me all of the products I had sampled and a few others and she asked for samples that were right for her skin and bought the set of that for herself. I can honestly say I love the FC 5 Complexion Revitalizing Collection and that they work miracles.
During the course of conversations with Dawn we became friendly and she was telling me about an off label use for one of the Arbonne Products. That she uses the Awaken Rejuvenating Spray whenever her family goes outside to keep the bugs away. I had ordered the Unwind Rejuvenating spray and noticed it was keeping the bugs away from me as well. When the dogs got fleas that infested the house and I was on the verge of tears because none of the home remedies I had found were working I emailed Dawn and asked if the Spray would also keep the fleas away. She didn't know so I did some research and found that two of the ingredients in the Rejuvenating Mist are actually used as one of the chemicals in pesticides. Before you all freak out these two ingredients are found in most perfumes and many cosmetics Limonene and Linalool. With the added citrus oils in the Awaken Spray it is a combo for success in keep the mosquitoes and flies away from children, adults, and dogs!!!! One bottle of Natural Spray to keep the bugs away from the whole family when you are outside playing. One bottle of spray to bring with you on a camping trip. One bottle of spray to use when you go out for your walks and the entire family is protected. Bonus part is that this spray smells good you don't get that choking on chemical feeling after spraying it on and it isn't going to be harmful for you to use because the Arbonne International motto is: To develop and distribute skin care products that are pure, safe, beneficial and effective.
As for being a flea repellent it is. When I spray myself the fleas will not jump from the dogs onto me they stay away. When I spray it on the dogs they don't pick up new fleas from around the neighborhood. You do need to reapply after a few hours or before each walk to make sure you are protected. Make sure to get both your ankles and your dogs legs since they like to hop on for a ride that way. Also if you have a dog that is any part white make sure to spray those areas specifically. For whatever reason fleas are attracted to However it will not kill the fleas. It only slows them down temporarily so it is a great product to use to keep the fleas away but once they are on your dog you will need something much more powerful.
