I have decided that half of my profit from all sales will go to Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue. I met some of their volunteers at the Cavaliers Show we attended because they had a booth set up with items for sale to help raise funds. I got the cutest Cavalier puppy note cards from them. I figured it was time to show some love to Cavaliers since I have had Fund-raising Events for other breeds. I have no relationship with them I just chose them as the Rescue recipient. The second I arrived on their site and I saw Pumpkin my heart melted. Who wouldn't love this little face. Poor Pumpkin was born in a Puppy Mill she was released to rescue because she was born with a life threatening defect and has gone through major reconstructive surgery to save her life. It seems like it took them a while to find her defect probably when they stole her away from her momma to put on the truck to go to the pet store. Thank goodness she is safe and loved and given a chance at a happy life.
Of course with any rescue that comes at a price and her bills are mounting. Hopefully some of our stylish pet mommies out there are looking for some new everyday accessories or birthday gifts or something special to wear to a wedding.
I had to look around and I found this sweet looking Black and Tan boy. I want him! I wish I could take him in. Oh maybe I will forward his picture to my parents they are looking to adopt a new dog and he is located in Georgia. I think that is what I am going to do. They were looking for a big dog but I think they need a small dog now. Duke is 7 years old and has found himself in rescue because his owner died :( Here's what they have to say about him:
Duke is housebroken, crate trained, and in overall good health. He has been diagnosed with a Grade 3 heart murmur, but is asymptomatic and does not require medication at this time. Duke is a wonderful companion and just wants to be with his owner. He follows his foster Dad from room to room all day long. It hard enough to find a Black and Tan Cavalier because of genetics I image they are almost unheard of in rescue.
