Weezy is a wonderful young man, born mid October 2008. He is loving and playful. He gets along great with the other foster cats and loves to be held. He is great at giving kisses! Weezy does great with kids and would adjust easily to a dog. He is marked as a special needs case and his name may give it away!
He makes a really strange noise when he breathes. Several different types of antibiotics, antihistamines, decongestants, steroids, etc have proven unsuccessful. They don't seem to help one way or the other. Our vet believed that there was a small obstruction in his upper airway and assured us that it is not contagious and that they don't think it will cause him any serious problem in the future, however, we did find a specialist who used a small scope to inspect his nasal/sinus passages and found no obstruction. So, at this time, Weezy stays weezy.
We want to find him the perfect new home! We have come to think of him as our "pugcat"--the noise he makes sounds sort of like the sound a Pug or English Bulldog might make. I even call him "Piglet" at times because of the snorting sound. He is truly a wonderful boy and I know that anyone who can find it in their hearts to look past the weird noise, will fall madly in love with this cutie!
