About jenniebgoode on Etsy :

I am a Canadian born and raised girl that is now living In South Carolina with my amazing husband. We have two very unique animals. Bailey the cat (who I brought with me from Canada) is the sweetest old girl you can ever imagine. She has a few issues including being diabetic, which requires two insulin shots a day and is missing most of her teeth. Watching her eat is always a fun and messy experience. Next we have Miss Sophia who is a English Bulldog. Let me tell you about this girl... She is Bulldog to the bone! Anyone who owns or has spent some time with one knows that there is no other dog like them. I think Miss Sophia is preparing me for future parenthood as i feel like we have already gone through the terrible twos (4-6months) and are now experiencing her teenage years. I love her unconditionally and there is not a day that goes by where she hasn't made us laugh.

How I got started making collars: We had just purchased a new puppy and even before getting Miss Sophia home, I was on the hunt for a super cute and unique dog collar. I tend to be obsessive when looking for that perfect item, so I searched high and low to find not much originality out there. I eventually found my prize at a local doggy boutique only to find that it had a whopping price tag of $35.00!! The adorable collar did end up on Miss Sophia's neck and spawned my desire to make fun and unique collars for a reasonable price.

About the Collars:Dog collars that are as fun and unique as your Fur baby by jenniebgoode on Etsy. Our fabric collars are made with washable cotton fabrics that are lined with sturdy interfacing to add extra strength and stability while still maintaining the collars comfort and softness. Stress points are both double stitched and box stitched for extra strength and durability. We only use contoured buckles for comfort, top notch hardware and heavy welded D rings. Wash on gentle cycle in cold water (line dry only!)

All pieces are created by hand so no two items are identical. That's the beauty of the product! Please allow for slight variances from what is shown in the made to order photos.

~ HOW TO MEASURE YOUR DOG FOR A COLLAR ~Measure around your dog's neck with a piece of string or a tape measure and then add two inches to the length. Please do not forget to note your dog’s neck size at the time of ordering.

NOTE: No collar is indestructible, please check your dog's collar frequently for wear and tear and replace when necessary. After purchase, the use of this collar is the customer's sole responsibility. Each consumer is responsible for testing and determining the suitability of these products for their individual pet. Always use common sense when restraining your dog.

The Review:
We were sent this beautiful funfetti polka dot dog collar for the girls to try out. We tend to use more fabric collars then anything else these days and I love how with the fabric collars the sky is the limit. If the fabric pattern is out there is can be made into a collar. You can tell that a lot of work went into creating the best possible collar for their customers. This is clearly not the first time she has made a collar and knows exactly what needs to be done in order to build a sturdy but fashionable collar for our special family members. She also makes matching leashes and key fobs that you can wear on your wrist while walking your dog so you don't have to find a creative way to hold your keys while out and about.

For the Review I let Indiana have the new necklace (we call them necklaces in our house) to try on. She is the one who is into new bling and will perk up and make herself look all pretty when she gets a new collar. After putting it on her she let me adjust the size and then made a game out of letting me take a picture of her wearing it. She ran around the entire house and every time she stopped and I got close she would run some more. I finally got to take her picture wearing the new collar when she stopped to hunt a lizard through the window. I guess that meant she was happy with her collar and wanted to show it off or she would have gone right back to sleeping after I put it on. I love how her little cat collars all have bells on them. I need to get a bell the for the black feral cat that follows us on walks at night maybe then I wouldn't trip over him all the time and the dogs would know he is coming.

We are facebook fans and you can become ones as well she has some fun discussions going on and loves feedback from her fans. She just posted her most recent fabric order which showcases some Halloween and Holiday fabric! http://www.facebook.com/jenniebgoodecollars
